Howdy

Nicolás Bustillos is a fourth generation West Texan with deep roots throughout the region including Chihuahua, Mexico. Nico has been visiting throughout his life but finally made the move to Marfa in 2017, has worked in a variety of different trades and eventually began to offer guided experiences for friends and acquaintances. The open frontier has particular meaning for him, as his fathers side of the family owns ranch land, particularly Pecan Orchards just south of us in outside of Camargo, Chihuahua. As a child, and just like his father, Nico spent nearly every summer in those areas and on the family ranch.

After relocating to Marfa, Nicolás befriended and began to work for some well known cowboys and ranchers on various ranches. It was then that he learned and honed his many new skills with horses and general ranch management. Today, Nico shares his passion for the area though guided experiences in Marfa, on local ranches, and down into Mexico. His ultimate goal is to inspire in visitors the same love he feels for the small towns and wide open vistas of the Big Bend region. and who knows, maybe add aviation to the experiences someday!
